Ben’s eagle project

Benjamin Kuncel is repairing bikes for an adapted gym program. To do this, spare parts need to be purchased. He has gotten funding from generous donors but still has a ways to go. If you would like to donate, please click the gofundme link. Any amount is helpful.

Pancake breakfast

On February 27nd troop 449 transformed advent church into a pancake serving five star restaurant and back in the course of one busy morning. Starting at 9 and going to 11 and serving around 140 people over the duration, Sebastian, Sean and Reese served while Evan, Braden, Roman and Louis plated eggs, sausages and most importantly pancakes which were made by the adults in a ex conference room. Cost of entry was the $5 tickets sold by the scouts the prior weeks, there was also a bake sale featuring items from the scout’s parents and fire starters made this fall.

Pancake Breakfast 2012

Our scout troop’s pancake breakfast was a huge success.  We not only reached our goal of $2500, but we also had nearly every table filled throughout the entire time.  We served 216 people and one of our chefs says that he made a lot of pancakes.  Our leaders in this scout troop say that this pancake breakfast went “very well.  I hope our pancake breakfasts are this successful in the future.

Pancake Breakfast Results

Troop 449 Scouts and Parents,

Congratulations on preparing, working through, and completing another successful pancake breakfast fundraiser.  This was a great example of teamwork and, considering this was our first time doing this on our own at Advent, you all performed above and beyond expectations.  A quick tally of the numbers shows that we took in a total of $2312.  I know that there are still some ticket sales yet to be counted so we likely have another $100 or more to add to the total.  This amount lines up well with past years’ totals.  Thank you all for making this fundraiser a great success and working so hard cooking, serving, and especially cleaning up.  We learned a few lessons as well and should have even more successful fundraisers in the future.
